JD EDWARDS BUSINESS ANALYST DISTRIBUTION- MacLean-Fogg is rolling out JD Edwards as our corporate ERP system.  The Distribution Business Analyst is responsible for requirements gathering, issue resolution, testing, training and troubleshooting for various work streams in the area of sales order management, shipping, inventory management and other related areas.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will have functional ownership over several areas such as warehouse management, shipping management, customer service / sales order management and other related areas.
  • Throughout the project, the business analyst would lead work stream specific tasks including:
    • Current state process mapping
    • Future state business process design mapping
    • Configuration of JD Edwards system
    • Testing of configured design
    • Training end users
    • Designing technical or process solutions to business "gaps"
    • Troubleshooting problems found after go-live
  • Act as a liaison between the business and technical teams for implementing the software
  • Meet strict timelines for milestone events
  • Responsible for being liaison with customer service and technical teams for designing, testing and training on interfaces to legacy ERP and bolt-on Order Management systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3 + years of experience with warehousing, fulfillment management, transportation, sales order management and other related functions.
  • 3 + years of experience working with and implementing an integrated ERP System, preferably JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (or similar systems IE: Oracle, SAS, Etc)
  • Strong ability to work in cross-functional technical and business teams, written and verbal communication skills are critical.
  • Ability to work in a complex project setting with critical milestones, timelines and potentially stressful situations.
  • Strong experience defining and documenting requirements, test cases and business processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time (Mon-Thu is typical) 

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent in related work experience in Information Technology, Business, or other related discipline
  • Experience with analyzing / writing SQL queries or able to quickly learn technical terms.
  • Exposure to a variety of technical terms and concepts development, change request processes, change management, etc.
  • APICS or other experience with supply chain management a strong plus.
  • Experience designing and utilizing legacy system interfaces.
