WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR - This postion maintains receiveing, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.


  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed


  • English is required
  • Computer literature with strong spreadsheet analysis skill
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, members of the business community, employees or managers
  • Ability to write complex and confidential correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information to clients, public groups, employees and management
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, adn draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Ability to provide concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations as well as correctly add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in high stress situations
  • Detail-oriented with multi-tasking abilities


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or related field strongly preferred
  • 5-7 years of superivsory experience in a high volume warehouse environment, preferably tied to a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to develop budgets and manage inventory controls
  • Exposure and training in basic Lean tools and successful implementation of these tools (Six Sigma exposure)
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 lbs
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
