MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (2ND SHIFT)- Performs complex and specialized work on all electrical and electronic equipment. Advises and assists engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing in methods required for proper functioning of equipment.


  • Assists engineering in design of electronic circuits for current and/or new equipment
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical problems
  • Troubleshoots mechanical maintenance problems
  • Fabricates, welds, and machines minor parts or structures to complete on the spot and/or emergency repairs
  • Completes comprehensive reports and records of maintenance repairs
  • Proficiently uses grinders, sanders, metal cutting saws, lathes and drills
  • Performs welding and cutting tasks, including electric arc welding, oxyacetylene welding, brazing, soldering and torch cutting
  • Sets up and monitors an inventory of electrical spare parts   


  • Two years of experience in related electrical and mechanical field or schooling in electrical/mechanical
  • High school diploma or equivalent with knowledge of math and English
  • Performs duties with minimum instruction and/or supervision
  • Capable of understanding complex math
  • Proficiency in arc, mig, tig and oxyacetylene welding, brading, soldering and torch cutting
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow electrical schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
  • Understands the operation and calibration of all electrical test equipment
  • Skilled in relay logic, electronics, electromechanical and mechanical problem-solving
  • Provides personal hand tools and gauges in a rolling cabinet
