STRATEGIC ACCOUNT SPECIALIST- The objective of this role is to integrate seamless business practices throughout MacLean Power Systems to better serve internal and external customers. He or she will be responsible for all interactions with internal and external customers to ensure strategic, reliable, and responsive service. Participate and develop strong relationships with various departments to investigate and resolve customer issues, including sales, marketing, procurement, quality assurance, scheduling, supply chain, production, distribution, and finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as an advocate and representative for the customer inside the MacLean-Fogg organization
  • Coordinate the timely and accurate resolution of customer transactions
  • Maintain and expand strategic business relationships
  • Single point of contact for all communications for strategic accounts
  • Facilitate execution of account objectives and customer expectations
  • Execute the joint company planning regarding performance objectives and appraisals, financial targets, and critical milestones
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Manage executive escalations where appropriate
  • Work with sales on items lost year over year
  • Provide end of month metrics for Customer Service dashboard for strategic accounts
  • Retain historical data relevant to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Investigate and resolve daily and complex customer service issues for both branded and private label products
  • Work with customer service director, customer service supervisor, sales, marketing and customers during commercialization of new product launches for both branded and private label products
  • Work with customer and/or A/R on purchase order discrepancies, quote discrepancies or any other customer related issues
  • Process customer orders and returns in a manner that is both accurate and timely
  • Validate payment terms, freight terms, freight costs and pricing
  • Work closely with production and distribution teams giving direction and prioritization to meet customer's requirements
  • On a rotation basis participate in the daily operations meetings representing customer service
  • Develop strong relationships with carriers, logistics and warehouse providers to maintain high service levels to customers
  • Work in conjunction with sales to coordinate face-to-face meetings with strategic account customers quarterly
  • Proactively communicate changes in lead-time as well as any significant changes
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of identified customer accounts; know needs and concerns intimately
  • Perform strategic sales presentations/communications
  • On call for after-hours Storm Requirements
  • Support Continuous Improvement efforts
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and guidelines
  • Other duties may be assigned or required for this position

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Four year degree in business, management or related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in Customer Service  or Account Management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication, both written and oral
• Ability to work with multiple projects simultaneously
• Position combines technical knowledge with sales skills
