Our Manufacturing Management Program is a rotational, two year program designed to develop future MacLean-Fogg leaders. The program allows for high potential new college graduates to make a measurable impact early in their career.


MacLean-Fogg Company's Manufacturing Management Program is specifically designed to give HR Representatives the critical skills and industry experience needed to succeed in a fast-paced environment.  Assignments take place in plant, technical and/or corporate environments allowing HR Representatives in the program to receive critical leadership skills and establish a professional network needed to support career growth.  Upon completion of each rotation, the employee is exposed to a broad range of company settings providing the knowledge needed to make informed decisions about an employee's career progression.

Below are examples of the types of roles your new assignment will provide if you are selected:

  • Participate in the explanation and administration of various hourly and salary benefit programs.
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, and hiring of both hourly and salaried employees.  This includes employment and educational reference checking.  May also encompass preparing job descriptions and/or employment advertisements, college recruiting, and working with third party recruiters.
  • Provide assistance in labor relations activities such as contract administration and interpretation, grievance investigation, arbitration, and negotiation.
  • Participate in maintaining and monitoring the Affirmative Action Program as well as assisting the Human Resources Manager in meeting all EEO requirements.
  • Participate in the merit review and budget process which may encompass wage and salary surveys.
  • Participate in positive employee relations activity programs such as wellness program initiatives, plant picnis, United Way Drive, etc.
  • Participate in the administration of safety compliance, training, and awareness programs.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of training programs for both hourly and salary personnel.
  • Engage in diverse cross-functional assignments.
  • Perform other duties relating to the Human Resources function as required.
  • Participate in targeted off-site training sessions (i.e. Lean Basic, Lean Professional, Safety Basic) developed and facilitated by MacLean-Fogg specialists.
  • Participate in general business training from expert professionals.
  • Interact formally and informally with Sr. Management.
  • Benefit from mentoring and hands-on coaching.


The candidate criteria for our Manufacturing Management Program is as follows:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Resources related field (i.e. Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations/Human Resources or Labor Relations) or equivalent required
  • GPA greater than 3.0
  • Current Class Level: Senior or Graduate
  • Less than 18 months of post-graduation work experience
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of accomplishments both inside and outside of the educational setting
  • Ability to establish and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in a leadership role; guiding and directing a team towards a common goal
  • Transcripts are required
  • Strong interest and commitment to a career in manufacturing
