SHIPPER/RECEIVER- Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard or work site.


  • Required to be licensed to drive hi-lo (forklift, lift truck) and to possess hi-lo license at all times.
  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Generates necessary labels for all applicable transactions, maintain transactions through the computer system.
  • Responsible for proper weight and quantity on shippers. Makes out shippers on all product, tooling and material that leaves the plant.
  • Responsible for accuracy and completeness of paperwork generated by the Shipping Department.
  • Responsible for proper delivery of all material, product and received goods to designated areas within the plant.
  • Responsible for the orderly flow of material into and out of the shipping areas.
  • Obtains approval from quality control department on parts before chipping.
  • Reports shortages of supplies.
  • Advises quality control department when receive parts from outside processors (platting, heat treat, etc.)
  • Required to make daily hi-lo preventative maintenance checks and to complete the appropriate documentation. Responsible for minor maintenance of the hi-lo; oil, battery, water, hydraulic fluid, etc. Makes necessary corrections.
  • Responsible for proper care of equipment used, and for cleanliness of work area.
  • Trains new shipper/receivers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
